Gratitude for Beauty: Transformation thru Breath

Long term beauty care is a whole bodily balance. On the road to optimal health can be daunting with so many paths to choose. During the last decade of my life it has never been so clear to me that there is a fine line from our external body care to our internal care. Any improvement in healing often occurs in taking steps. My Grandmother Samarodin was a talented seamstress. When I think back to the gifts she had sewn for me I understand now the essential vital energies needed to create such masterpieces and the steps it took to the final creations. The backstitch happens to be the strongest stitch in sewing and it’s those threads that hold it all together– sewing is a fundamental thing in this world and so is our Breath. Breathing is one of our body’s most powerful methods of cleansing itself. There is a fine line from our external and internal body care which is why a whole bodily balance is the focus and adapting techniques that can support this crucial. Doing regular breathing exercises can invite inner and outer transformations. Breathing is often overlooked much like the threads in our clothing but even small daily doses of focused or guided breathing techniques can shift and brighten your whole being-not to mention your complexion!

One particular breathing technique for self healing widely used in today’s top healing centers is Transformational Breath. Developed by Dr. Judith Kravitz the Transformational Breath Foundation website discusses in depth about the optimal healing and highest potential in Conscious Breath work. “Transformational Breath was developed 30 years ago in the US.” Judith integrated various principles from her doctoral studies in metaphysics, Kundalini Yoga, breath analysis, sound healing, body mapping along with other healing a spiritual principals into the most therapeutic breath work training system know today. Endorsed by well know intergrative medicine experts such as Deepak Chopra MD and Christiane Northrup MD. “Dr. Kravitz’s book, “Breathe Deep, Laugh Loudly”, documents the tremendous diversity of lives which have been permanently transformed using Transformational Breath. Dr. Kravitz is an ordained minister with a doctorate degree in metaphysical studies. She has taught at prestigious wellness centers and educational institutions such as the Chopra Center, the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and the Omega Institute.”

Transformational Breath work is described as a complete self-healing system using conscious breath work to facilitate improved well-being, inner peace and greater joy in life. I have personally benefited from the gifts of Transformational breathing vacillated with a local Transformational Breath teacher and is part of my health and beauty care regime. Learning about how our breath can help us not just keeping us alive has given me a heart full of gratitude and a new appreciation to what my breath can offer for me on a deeper level. Transformational Breathing works with the physical, emotional and your spiritual pathways. As we open up our complete respiratory system physical changes begin to occur and our bodies become more energized to some degree, toxins detoxify from our bodies as our immune system gets the reboot! Our bodies are continuously accumulating in this life and as the breathing continues in this technique the mental and emotional experiences we have had in our lives has an opportunity to be integrated on a sub-conscious level transforming negative to positive. Everyone can benefit from breathing If breathing can be this powerful and years of my life have gone by not knowing the full potential of the very breath that keeps me alive , I had to ask myself how I over looked this and was there more I could do keep this new knowledge at the forefront of daily living.

Research is looking into what has the most calming effect on the heart. The scientists at the Heart Math Institute decided to find out what kinds of thoughts and images in the brain provide this. They tried love, affection, courage, humility, compassion and many others all while connecting individuals to brain and heart monitoring equipment. They had them bring different kinds of positive thoughts and images into their minds. As each emotion was focused on, they measured the effect on the rhythms of the heart. Do you want to guess which emotion had the most powerful calming effect on the heart? Gratitude! There are many things you can do to shift your perception on life and stay connecting to the NOW! Developing your sense of gratitude can have a wide range of benefits mentally, emotionally and physically much like our breath. Like any skill gratitude requires practice. Several months ago I starting incorporating daily meditations; grounded by self-compassion in pursuit for more emotional resilience, a greater sense of well-being, and a stronger immune system. Last year a close friend had given me a painted rock for my 38th birthday with a simple painting of the word “Gratitude”. This is a good time to be grateful I thought with such a simple gift it brought much to my perspective…suddenly I felt an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for all that hasn’t got me stuck and not for what has! It is always possible to open up our thinking to new solutions if you’re open to it. Your breath is the very essence of your life. Love it! Learn how to use it well! Everything you experience and the way you experience it is contained in it! Combining Gratitude practices and Breathing techniques may be a simple way to your transformation.
